41 Bangladeshi pilgrims die during Hajj so far this year

A total of 41 Bangladeshi pilgrims have died while performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia this year, according to official data, with most of the deaths reported in Makkah.
Data from the Bangladesh government's Hajj management portal show that among the deceased pilgrims, 27 were men and 14 were women. Of the total deaths, 30 occurred in Makkah and 11 in Madinah.
The latest fatalities were reported on Sunday, when two Bangladeshi pilgrims died. They were identified as Md Abdul Majid from Naogaon, who died in Madinah, and Md Shahjahan Ali from Khilgaon in Dhaka, who died in Makkah.
Meanwhile, Bangladeshi pilgrims have begun returning home following the completion of Hajj. As of Sunday, 11,613 pilgrims had returned from Saudi Arabia.
This year's Hajj was held on May 26. The first Hajj flight from Bangladesh departed on April 18, while the final outbound flight left on May 21. Return flights began on May 30 and are scheduled to continue until June 30.

Around 78,500 Bangladeshis performed Hajj this year, including 4,565 under the government scheme and 73,935 through private arrangements.
According to Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj, more than 1.5 million Muslims from around the world participated in this year's pilgrimage.
