Actor Kangana Ranaut has unveiled the first look of her upcoming film Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, in which she plays a nurse in a story inspired by the heroism of healthcare workers during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

The motion poster, released on Thursday, shows Ranaut in a nurse’s uniform with blood stains on her face, helping a patient amid scenes of chaos and fire. Sharing the poster on social media, the actor paid tribute to ordinary people whose acts of courage often go unnoticed.

Based on true events, the film focuses on the extraordinary efforts of healthcare workers at Cama and Albless Hospital during the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Hospital staff reportedly played a crucial role in safely evacuating around 400 patients during the crisis.

Speaking about the project, Ranaut said the film tells an untold story of courage, sacrifice, humanity and unity, highlighting the bravery of ordinary people who stood between terror and innocent lives.

Written and directed by Manoj Tapadia, the film also stars Girija Oak, Smita Tambe and several other actors. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on June 12.

Ranaut's recent releases, including Emergency, Tejas and Dhaakad, failed to meet box-office expectations. Her last major commercial success was Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
