SSC results on July 20, new curriculum from 2028

The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on July 20, while a fully revised national curriculum is set to be introduced nationwide from 2028, Education and Primary Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon announced on Monday.
Speaking at a press conference at the Secretariat, the minister said the SSC and equivalent examination results would be released within the customary 60-day period following the completion of written exams.
This year's SSC examinations began on April 21, with written tests concluding on May 20. A total of 1.86 million students registered for the exams, including 930,305 male and 927,039 female candidates.
Of the total examinees, 1.42 million sat for SSC examinations under the general education boards, 304,286 appeared in the Dakhil examinations under the Madrasa Education Board, and 134,660 took SSC and Dakhil Vocational examinations under the Technical Education Board.
The minister also outlined plans for major curriculum reforms, saying four new subjects or textbooks would be introduced in the 2027 academic year as part of the transition to a fully modernized curriculum scheduled for nationwide implementation in 2028.
He added that the government is also preparing a white paper detailing alleged irregularities and corruption in the education sector during the previous Awami League administration.

The press conference was attended by senior government officials, including the Prime Minister’s education adviser, education ministry secretaries and heads of the country's primary and secondary education directorates.
