Director Mezbaur Rahman Sumon's Roid overtook Rockstar in Bangladesh's multiplex box office race on its 10th day of release, outperforming its rival in per-show earnings and audience turnout despite screening in significantly fewer shows.

According to data from film trade analyst platform BMR, Roid emerged as the top-performing film among e-ticketing multiplexes on Monday. The film recorded 22 screenings -- 19 at Star Cineplex and three at Lion Cinemas -- with three shows running close to full capacity.

The film grossed Tk 1.034 million on the day, taking its cumulative multiplex earnings past Tk 10.7 million and making it the eighth Bangladeshi release this year to cross the Tk 10 million mark in multiplex revenue. Starring Nazifa Tushi and Mostafizur Noor Imran, Roid appears to be gaining momentum among urban audiences.

Meanwhile, Rockstar, directed by Azman Rusho, generated Tk 1.025 million from 69 shows across multiple cinemas, including Star Cineplex, Lion Cinemas, and several multiplexes outside Dhaka. None of its screenings sold out.

Despite falling behind Roid in daily multiplex earnings, Rockstar, starring Shakib Khan and Sabila Nur, continues to lead overall at the box office, aided by its extensive release across single-screen theatres nationwide.
