Forensic report confirms Ramisa raped before murder

The forensic report has been finalized regarding the rape and murder of 7-year-old Ramisa in the capital's Mirpur-Pallabi area. The report confirmed that the child was subjected to rape before her death.
This information was revealed on Sunday (May 24) following an analysis and review of the forensic findings.
According to the forensic report, the child was forcefully raped on the day of the incident. Following the assault, she was suffocated to death, and her body was subsequently decapitated.

A chargesheet against the prime accused, Sohel Rana, and his wife, Swapna Akhter, is scheduled to be submitted to the court on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police handed over the DNA profile report to the investigation officer on Saturday (May 23).
Speaking on Saturday, the Case Investigation Officer and Pallabi Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI), Ohiduzzaman, said:
"We are preparing the chargesheet. It will be submitted to the court tomorrow (Sunday)."
Sources close to the investigation revealed that crucial evidence was gathered immediately after the incident, leading to the swift arrest of the two accused individuals. Both suspects have already given confessional statements in court.
The investigation officer added that the chargesheet outlines a detailed account of the incident, available evidence, and the specific roles played by those involved. Judicial proceedings are expected to begin swiftly once the chargesheet is formally accepted by the court.
The victim's father and complainant of the case, Abdul Hannan, expressed his grief, saying, "I demand a fair trial for this murder so that no other family has to suffer such a tragic fate in the future."
Prime Minister Tariq Rahman has assured that the maximum punishment for those responsible for Ramisa's murder will be ensured within the next month. He made this statement on Saturday during the birth anniversary program of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in Trishal, Mymensingh.
Condemning the brutal murder, Information Minister Johir Uddin Swapon stated that the entire nation is stunned by this heinous crime. He emphasized that the government has taken all necessary measures to bring the perpetrators to justice in the shortest possible time. The minister made these remarks while responding to journalists at the Sher-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Huq Foundation event at the International Mother Language Institute in Segunbagicha on Saturday.
