Google is set to overhaul its global search system by integrating artificial intelligence-driven responses, conversational interaction, and personalized assistance, in a major shift announced at its annual tech conference in the United States that will change how users find information online.
Google announced that the redesigned search experience will replace traditional link-based results with AI-generated summaries and interactive answers. The new system will allow users to ask complex questions and follow up in a conversational format, with the AI providing synthesized responses rather than directing users to external websites.

The company also introduced an automated AI assistant capable of monitoring online information on behalf of users and delivering real-time updates on selected topics. In addition, users will be able to create small customized tools or applications for personal tasks such as meal planning, fitness routines, and scheduling.
Experts warn that the shift could significantly reduce traffic to websites, particularly news platforms that rely heavily on search referrals. They say original reporting, credible content, and direct audience engagement will become increasingly important in the evolving digital landscape.
