Thereafter, Mominul Haque and Tanzid steadied the innings with positive, risk-free batting, ensuring no further alarms before stumps. Bangladesh closed the opening day on 96 for one, still 102 runs behind, with Mominul unbeaten on 35 off 49 balls and Tanzid well set alongside him.
