Prison wall message changed Siddiqur Rahman’s life

Former popular actor Siddiqur Rahman has returned to normal life after nearly 11 months in prison, describing the experience as a period of deep self-reflection and personal transformation.
He was arrested in connection with a case during a political change in the country and was released on March 18. In a recent interview with a private television channel, he shared details of his time in custody and how it reshaped his outlook on life.
Siddiqur Rahman said he spent 10 months and 22 days in jail after his arrest on April 29, 2025. He described the period not only as confinement but also as an opportunity for introspection and spiritual growth.

He said he became more religious during his time in prison, regularly reciting the Holy Quran and performing five daily prayers, adding that he felt a strong inner transformation.
He also said a prison wall message reading “Protect the safe, show the path of light” had a deep impact on him and inspired his mental strength and personal change.
During his imprisonment, Siddiqur Rahman remained creatively active, writing 15 television drama scripts, three film stories, and a book based on his life and prison experience.
After his release, he said he is gradually returning to normal life, spending time with his family and preparing to resume his creative work.
