Measles outbreak claims 6 more lives, death toll rises to 415

Six more children died with measles symptoms across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, while 1,459 new patients were admitted to hospitals during the same period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the health authority on Monday.

According to DGHS, of the six children who died with measles symptoms, three were from the Dhaka Division, two from Chattogram Division, and one from Mymensingh Division.

Since March 15, the total number of confirmed deaths from measles has reached 65, while 350 children have died with measles symptoms during the same period, the DGHS added.
