Urgent verification needed for 14K new primary teachers

The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) has issued an urgent directive to verify the background, documents and previous activities of 14,384 candidates initially selected for assistant teacher posts in government primary schools under the 2025 recruitment process.

The instruction was announced on Sunday in a notice signed by Irene Parveen, Assistant Director (Recruitment) of the Policy and Operation Division of the DPE.

According to the notice, the selected candidates under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education will undergo police verification to assess their previous activities and background.

Authorities have also been instructed to verify the authenticity of submitted academic certificates, national identity cards and other necessary documents.

The DPE requested the relevant authorities to take immediate steps to complete the verification process before final appointments are confirmed.
