Iran responds to US ceasefire proposal via Pakistan

Iran has responded on Sunday to the United States’ latest ceasefire proposal, which was delivered through Pakistan, according to Iranian state media.
Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said it would only reply after “necessary review and final decision-making” regarding the US offer. State-run IRNA reported that the proposal focuses on ending the ongoing conflict in the region.

The United States submitted the new proposal last week. Since then, former US President Donald Trump has repeatedly said he is waiting for Tehran’s response.
According to US media reports, the Trump administration’s plan is a one-page document containing 14 clauses outlining the framework for negotiations.
