U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran of renewed and intensified bombing if Tehran refuses to accept Washington’s proposed deal aimed at ending tensions and reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump made the remarks on Wednesday through his social media platform Truth Social and in media interviews, saying the United States is close to reaching an agreement with Iran, but military action would return if talks fail.

“If they don’t agree, the bombing starts, and it will be at a much higher level and intensity than before,” Trump said. He also said that if Iran accepts the terms, the military campaign would end and the Strait of Hormuz would remain open for global oil and gas shipments.

According to U.S. media reports, Washington has sent Iran a one-page memorandum outlining key conditions, including limits on uranium enrichment, possible transfer of highly enriched uranium, and ensuring free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump said a successful agreement could also lead to restrictions on Iran’s underground nuclear facilities and pave the way for direct high-level talks between the two countries.

However, mixed signals have emerged from Washington. While Trump suggested that the military pressure campaign known as “Epic Fury” could end with a deal, U.S. officials have also indicated that military operations have already been reduced and diplomatic efforts are now the main focus.

The renewed threat has increased international concern over possible disruption in the Strait of Hormuz, a key global energy route, and the wider impact on oil markets and regional stability.

Despite the warning, Trump said he remains hopeful that both sides could finalize a memorandum of understanding within a short time if Iran agrees to realistic terms.
