Family receives body of murdered student Brishti in the US

The body of Nahida Sultana Brishti, a Bangladeshi student of the University of South Florida who was killed in Tampa, United States, has been sent to Bangladesh.
According to officials, her body is expected to arrive in Bangladesh at 8:40 am on May 9 via Dubai.
The entire repatriation process was directly supervised by the Bangladesh Consulate General in Miami, with consular officials overseeing the arrangements. Consul Thoing A was also present during the process.
On May 1, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the identification of Brishti’s body.

After that, the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC, the Bangladesh Consulate General in Miami, her family, university authorities, local Bangladeshi expatriates, and police completed the necessary legal procedures.
Following the formalities, efforts were made to send the body back to Bangladesh as quickly as possible.
Her funeral prayer was held on May 6 at the Islamic Society of Tampa Bay Area mosque in Tampa, attended by university students, consulate representatives, media workers, and members of the Bangladeshi community.
