PM Tarique Rahman to visit Turkey in November

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will visit Turkey in November to attend the United Nations' COP31 climate summit, Bangladesh's State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir announced during a meeting with Turkey's Deputy Foreign Minister Musa Kulaklıkaya on the sidelines of the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday.

The two sides exchanged views on regional issues and expressed readiness to work closely together on matters of mutual interest, voicing satisfaction with the existing scope of bilateral cooperation while highlighting shared interest in deepening ties across trade, investment, diplomacy, and other key sectors. The meeting emphasised elevating Bangladesh-Turkey relations to a higher level, with Kabir informing Kulaklıkaya of Prime Minister Rahman's planned November visit to attend the upcoming COP31 summit.
