Three women killed in truck-autorickshaw collision in Mymensingh

Three women were killed on the spot after a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Muktagacha of Mymensingh on Monday.
The accident took place in the Montola Samity Ghar area on the Mymensingh-Tangail highway. The identities of the victims could not be confirmed immediately.

Witnesses said a sand-laden truck heading toward Mymensingh from Muktagacha collided head-on with an autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction.
The autorickshaw was badly crushed in the impact, killing three female passengers at the scene. The truck also overturned on the road after the crash.
The truck driver, his helper, and the autorickshaw driver were injured and sent to the hospital for treatment.
Mosharraf Hossain, a leader of Fire Service and Civil Defence, said they reached the scene after receiving a call through the national emergency service 999 and recovered the bodies before handing them over to the police.
