Eight senior police officers transferred

The government has transferred eight senior police officers, including five Additional Deputy Inspector Generals (Additional DIGs), in a major administrative reshuffle, according to an official notification issued on Thursday.
The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued the order, signed by Deputy Secretary Tousif Ahmed under presidential authority. The transfers, made in the public interest, take immediate effect.
Under the reshuffle, several officers have been reassigned across key units of the Bangladesh Police, including the Armed Police Battalion (APBn), Highway Police, Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Special Branch (SB), and Naval Police.
According to the notification, Satkhira In-Service Training Centre Commandant (Superintendent of Police) Md. Mokbul Hossain has been transferred to Kushtia In-Service Training Centre in the same position.

APBn 12 Battalion Commander (Additional DIG) Md. Iqbal has been posted as Commander of APBn 5, while Highway Police Additional DIG Enamul Kabir has been appointed Commander of APBn 12.
APBn 13 Battalion Commander Mohammad Sihab Kaisar Khan has been transferred to the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) as Additional DIG. Two RAB directors, Md. Khalidul Haque Howladar and Mohammad Kamruzzaman, have been posted as Joint Commissioners (Additional DIG rank) in the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
Additionally, DMP Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Robiul Hossain Bhuiyan has been appointed Superintendent of Police in Naval Police, while APBn Additional Superintendent of Police Nusrat Jahan Mukta has been posted to the Special Branch as Additional Superintendent of Police.
Officials said the reshuffle is part of routine administrative adjustments within the police force.
