Private Hajj package starts at Tk 513,545 for 2027

The Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAB) on Wednesday announced three private Hajj packages for 2027, with the most economical option priced at Tk 513,545, while the premium package will cost Tk 791,060.

Speaking at a hotel in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, HAB President Syed Golam Sarwar said the association had introduced three packages for pilgrims travelling under private management. The premium Package-1 has been priced at Tk 791,060, the standard Package-2 at Tk 595,580, and the economy Package-3 at Tk 513,545. He added that agencies would also be permitted to offer one additional premium package tailored to pilgrims' individual preferences.

The package prices have been calculated based on an exchange rate of Tk 33.20 per Saudi riyal, with any future fluctuation to be adjusted accordingly. Compared with this year's rates, the premium package has increased from Tk 750,000 to Tk 791,060, the standard package from Tk 550,000 to Tk 595,580, while the economy package has risen modestly from Tk 510,000 to Tk 513,545.

A day earlier, Religious Affairs Minister Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaykobad) announced the government's Hajj packages for 2027. Under the public scheme, Package-1 has been set at Tk 615,263, while the economy Package-2 will cost Tk 505,648. The minister also said private agencies must offer at least the government-approved standard level of services, although group agencies may introduce up to three additional packages through mutual coordination.
