The government on Tuesday announced two official Hajj packages for 2027, with costs set at Tk505,648 for the economy package and Tk615,263 for the standard package under the state-managed pilgrimage programme.

Speaking at a press briefing at the Secretariat, Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaykobad) said the packages had been approved by the Executive Committee on Hajj Management. Under Package-1, pilgrims will be accommodated within 1,000 to 1,400 metres of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and in the Markaziya area of Madinah. They will stay in Zone-2 tents in Mina, receive meals through the Saudi Mouallem under Service Package-3 during their stay in Mina and Arafat, and typically spend 35 to 40 days in Saudi Arabia. The cost of this package has been fixed at Tk615,263.

Under Package-2, the economy option, pilgrims will stay 2 to 3 kilometres from the Grand Mosque in Makkah and within 800 metres of Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah, outside the Markaziya area. Accommodation in Mina will be provided in Zone-5 tents, while meals in Mina and Arafat will also be supplied under Service Package-3. Pilgrims whose hotels are located more than two kilometres from the Grand Mosque will be provided with Salawat bus services in accordance with Saudi regulations. The package has been priced at Tk505,648.
