Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif has candidly reflected on the physical changes motherhood brought and her evolving approach to skincare and beauty, choosing to address the topic through introspection rather than directly rebutting online trolls and body-shamers.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Katrina said her skin had become considerably more sensitive after childbirth, making it initially arduous to determine which cosmetics suited her. Consequently, she has shifted her focus towards soothing and hydrating her skin while preserving its natural protective barrier, rather than adhering to a rigid regimen. Moreover, she noted that stress, inflammation, travel and environmental factors can aggravate sensitive skin, particularly amid prolonged shoots, intense studio lighting and a demanding lifestyle.
Recalling the early stages of her career, Katrina said she once felt constrained by conventional beauty standards and stereotypes. However, she now associates beauty not merely with physical appearance but also with overall wellbeing and feeling comfortable from within.

She therefore emphasises healthy eating, regular physical activity, meditation, morning sunlight and breaks from digital devices, while advocating consistent skincare centred on cleansing, repair and protection. Meanwhile, she continues to adjust her routine according to her skin's changing needs rather than pursuing overnight transformations.
