Govt to appoint 817 remaining primary teacher candidates by Oct 1
Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon speaks to the press
Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon has said that 817 candidates who were left out of the recruitment process for government primary schools will receive appointment letters by October 1.
Speaking at a meeting of the National Steering Committee for World Teachers' Day celebrations at the Education Ministry's conference room in the Secretariat on Monday (September 28), the minister said the government had initiated steps to complete the recruitment process. The process follows an examination held during the interim government's tenure, in which around 1.069 million candidates participated.
Milon said 854 final applications from 33 districts had been received, with district primary education officers responsible for issuing the appointment letters. However, verification of some candidates remains incomplete, while others have changed their addresses.
