State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has stressed the government’s commitment to ensuring quality and non-discriminatory education for every child, saying all educational institutions, including madrasas, will gradually be brought under effective government monitoring. He made the remarks at a discussion in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Wednesday as part of a review of the government’s progress in protecting women’s and children’s rights.

Bobby said the government is working to establish a more accountable and inclusive education system, with particular attention to children in haor and other remote areas. Plans include improving school infrastructure, ensuring teacher attendance and providing residential facilities. Meanwhile, a pilot programme is also being implemented to provide free sanitary products to primary-school girls in cooperation with private organisations.
