Dominican beauty queen wins Miss World 2026 title

Joheirry Mola Domínguez of the Dominican Republic has been crowned Miss World 2026, according to a report by the BBC published on Sunday.
The grand final, staged on Saturday evening in the coastal city of Nha Trang, Vietnam, saw Mola triumph over 111 contestants to claim the coveted title. She had earned her place on the international stage by winning Miss World Dominican Republic in 2025, and alongside her pursuits in fashion and modelling, she is also recognised as an educator, journalist and social activist.

The outgoing titleholder, Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand, placed the iconic blue crown upon her successor's head during Saturday's ceremony. In her new capacity, Mola will now engage in the organisation's global welfare initiatives and champion the Beauty With a Purpose campaign internationally. Elisabeth Reynés of Spain finished as first runner-up, while Tanusiya Chetty of Malaysia claimed the second runner-up position.
