According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tobgay's transit lasted approximately 45 minutes before he departed Dhaka for Germany on a chartered flight after completing the necessary formalities. His visit marks the second high-level transit by Bhutan's leadership through Dhaka in two months; on August 26, Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck likewise made a brief stopover in Dhaka while returning from Singapore. The king was received by the president, who held a courtesy meeting with him and discussed matters of bilateral and mutual interest.
