Gold prices cut again as BAJUS revises rates

Gold prices have been reduced again in Bangladesh, with the price of 22-carat gold falling by Tk 2,216 per bhori to Tk 228,556, including VAT, according to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS).
The revised prices took effect at 10 am on Tuesday, following a decision by BAJUS's Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring, in response to a decline in the price of locally sourced Tejabi gold. Accordingly, 21-carat gold has been cut by Tk 2,099 to Tk 218,292 per bhori, 18-carat gold has fallen by Tk 1,808 to Tk187,440, and traditional-method gold now costs Tk 153,148, down Tk 1,108.
BAJUS has likewise reduced silver prices across all categories: 22-carat silver has fallen by Tk 175 to Tk 4,316 per bhori, while 21-carat, 18-carat and traditional-method silver now stand at Tk 4,141, Tk 3,558 and Tk 2,683 respectively.

This latest reduction marks the third cut in 22-carat gold prices since September 26, bringing the total decline over the three adjustments to Tk 6,065 per bhori.
