Brazil is set to begin its pursuit of a record-extending sixth World Cup title with a stern challenge against 2022 World Cup semi-finalists Morocco, as head coach Carlo Ancelotti prepares for his first World Cup campaign in charge of the Seleção.

With Neymar Jr. sidelined through injury alongside several key players, Ancelotti is expected to stick with his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation, focusing on maintaining balance between attack and defence to counter Morocco's pace on the break.

Experienced goalkeeper Alisson Becker is likely to start between the posts. In defence, Danilo could feature at right-back, while Marquinhos and Gabriel Magalhães are expected to form the central defensive partnership, with Alex Sandro operating on the left.

Casemiro and Bruno Guimarães are set to anchor the midfield, providing defensive solidity and control in possession. In Neymar's absence, Lucas Paquetá is expected to take on the creative responsibilities in an advanced midfield role.

Brazil's attacking threat is likely to come from Vinícius Júnior and Raphinha on the wings, with Matheus Cunha tipped to lead the line.
