On the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called on the nation to build a peaceful, just, and welfare-oriented society by following the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), describing his advent as a uniquely transformative moment in the history of human civilisation.
In a message issued on Tuesday to mark the occasion, the Prime Minister said the Prophet's life illuminated a new horizon of truth for humankind, calling people toward monotheism while imparting timeless lessons in truth, justice, equality, brotherhood, humanity, and peace--teachings he described as an enduring and exemplary guide for all of humanity. Extending heartfelt greetings to devout Muslims across Bangladesh and the wider global Muslim ummah, Rahman expressed profound gratitude to the Almighty for sending the final Prophet as a mercy to all creation, invoking countless blessings and salutations upon him. Citing the Quranic verse from Surah Al-Ahzab declaring the Messenger of Allah an excellent exemplar for believers, he described the Prophet's life as a living embodiment of Quranic teaching, marked by unparalleled examples of truthfulness, trustworthiness, justice, forgiveness, tolerance, kindness, and generosity--qualities that, he said, teach both profound devotion to God and boundless love, responsibility, and compassion toward fellow human beings.

The Prime Minister further noted that the Prophet transcended divisions of nation, race, tribe, language, and social standing in establishing human dignity and rights, teaching responsibility and empathy toward orphans, the poor, the helpless, and the marginalised. He placed particular emphasis on the Prophet's teachings regarding the protection of the rights of family, neighbours, women, children, and society's weakest and most vulnerable members, concluding that his teachings strengthen bonds of brotherhood, harmony, and mutual responsibility rather than sowing division among people.
