TikTok has launched 'TikTok Bazaar', a nationwide capacity-building programme aimed at equipping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bangladesh with essential digital marketing skills, in partnership with IDLC Finance.
The initiative seeks to help entrepreneurs strengthen their online presence and expand their businesses across both domestic and international markets. Under the programme, approximately 2,500 SME entrepreneurs will receive comprehensive training through workshops, advanced training sessions, online mentoring and virtual support, learning skills ranging from campaign planning and creative content production to account management, advertising optimisation and performance measurement; selected businesses will, moreover, receive dedicated guidance on reaching overseas customers.

Ferdous Mottakin, TikTok's head of public policy and government relations for South Asia, said digital creativity could serve as a powerful driver of business growth, while Adnan Rashid, IDLC Finance's head of SME, underscored the growing importance of digital inclusion, particularly for businesses situated outside major markets such as Dhaka and Chattogram. Consequently, TikTok said the initiative would help entrepreneurs reach new customers, strengthen their brands, and explore considerably wider commercial opportunities.
