Four warehouses owned by Tush Bond Private Limited, a company belonging to content creator Salman Muqtadir's father-in-law Sheikh Nur Islam, have been sealed amid allegations that duty-free liquor and other goods imported under bonded facilities were stockpiled beyond authorised limits, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) said.

A joint team comprising the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, the Department of Narcotics Control and Special Response Battalion-1 conducted the operation in South Gulshan, Dhaka, late on Thursday night. According to the NBR, the operation continued from around 10:30 pm on Thursday until 4:30 am on Friday, during which investigators detected serious irregularities in the company's diplomatic warehouse operations. Moreover, officials found that goods were being kept across four warehouses, including two unauthorised facilities situated outside the approved premises.

Consequently, all four warehouses were sealed to prevent duty-free goods imported under bonded facilities from being transferred or removed from the unauthorised sites, and to facilitate a proper investigation. Meanwhile, the revenue authority said that detailed verification and inquiries were under way.

Nevertheless, no findings have been made public beyond the preliminary allegations, and the NBR stated that further information would be disclosed only after the inquiry is completed. Accordingly, the company's response, and whether any formal charges follow, remain to be seen.
