Tigresses in final after dramatic win over Thailand

Bangladesh women’s national cricket team has given an exciting match by defeating Thailand in 2 wickets in the last match of the four-team T20 tournament in India. With this, the Tigresses advanced to the final.

Bangladesh women’s national cricket team has given an exciting match by defeating Thailand in 2 wickets in the last match of the four-team T20 tournament in India. With this, the Tigresses advanced to the final.

Bangladesh won the toss and decided to field against Thailand at Patna in Bihar. Thailand girls could not score much in the controlled bowling of the Tigresses. They scored 120 runs by losing 3 wickets in 20 over. 

In reply, the Tigresses’ beginning was great. Shamima Sultana scored 38 runs off 37 balls, which later it was 91 runs in 16.1 over by losing only 2 wickets. However, the Thailand girls turned the match with leg-spin bowling attacks. 

By losing continuous wickets in a row, at one point of the match, the scorecard became 112 runs in 8 wickets. There was even fear of losing the match in the 19th over. 

However, Fahima Khatun rescued the team with stormy innings of 28 runs off only 13 balls and gave the Tigresses a dramatic win.

Bangladesh went to India to play four four-team tournaments in preparation for the T20 World Cup in Australia. The other two teams are India ‘A’ and India ‘B’. The B team has already confirmed the final. The girls will face them in the same venue on Wednesday.
