The gold price has risen over a period of 25 days again in the country. Bangladesh Jewellers Samity has decided to raise the price of gold by Tk 1167 per bhori. The finest refined quality or 22-carat gold will cost Tk 59,195 per bhori.

Bangladesh Jewellers Samity informed the gold price increase in a press release on Wednesday.

In July and August, the gold price rose from Tk 50,155 to Tk 58,028 per bhori. Last September, the gold price reduced to Tk 56,862 per bhori. Last November 24, it again rose to Tk 58,028.

The Jewellers Samity says the gold price has risen in the local bullion market as the dollar price increased against the domestic currency. Therefore, the executive committee of the Jewellers Samity decided to increase the gold price in the country’s market by Tk 1167 per bhori.

As a result, 22-carat gold (11.664 gram) will be sold at Tk 59,195 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 56,862 per bhori and 18-carat gold will be sold at Tk 51, 846 per bhori since Thursday.

However, the Traditional system gold price is the same – Tk 29,160 per bhori. Similarly, the price of the silvers will remain unchanged – Tk 933 per bhori.
