The government has decided to publish a list of Pakistani collaborators (Razakars) who committed crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.

The government has decided to publish a list of Pakistani collaborators (Razakars) who committed crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.

Liberation War Affairs Ministry will publish the list through a press conference on Sunday. 

The ministry sent letters to the deputy commissioners across the country to collect the list of Razakar who were enlisted as paid Razakar on May 21 in 1971.

Besides, letter was also sent to home ministry to preserve the list of Razakar, Al Badr, Al Shams, Shanti Committee.

Already a list consisting names of 8,400 Razakars has been sent to Liberation War Affairs Ministry. Process to publish the name list is underway. After uploading the list at website, it will be made public on Sunday.

Wishing anonymity, an official of the ministry said, primarily the names of 8,400 Razakar will be announced on December 15. It’s a continuous process. Step by step the list will be published.
