Former Miss Universe and actress Sushmita Sen is now in Dhaka to crown the winner of ‘Miss Universe Bangladesh’ on Wednesday evening.

Sushmita arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 12:20 pm. From there, she went to the capital’s La Meridian Hotel, according to the organizers.

The grand finale of ‘Miss Universe Bangladesh’ will be held with the top ten beauties at the capital’s Bashundhara Convention Hall on Wednesday evening where the former Miss Universe will be the main judge and crowned the winner.

There will be more judges; musicians Tahsan Khan, beautician Kaniz Almas Khan, Tutli Rahman, Rubaba Daula and Farzana Chowdhury.

Contestants will take part in some choreography on stage. In addition, the band ‘Parthib’ will perform, said the organizers.

Earlier, the ‘Miss Universe Bangladesh’ competition started in September. There are currently top 10 contestants — former Miss World Bangladesh 2017 Jessia Islam, Shirin Shila, Tamanna Ishrat Sohani, Maria Mumu, Sanowar Tayefa, Afla Arman, Irana Ishrat, Smriti Akter, Alisha Islam and Toshiba Anita Islam.

The winner of this event will represent Bangladesh in the 68th edition of the Miss Universe held in Korea in December.
