‘Team United’ wants to protect ISPAB’s interest

Meanwhile, a panel named ‘Team United’ led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Amber IT Aminul Hakim has been announced as the election fiesta is underway.

The ‘Team United’ includes five members of the incumbent executive committee. They are ISPAB’s incumbent President Aminul Hakim, General Secretary Imdadul Haque, Rashed Amin Bidyut, Kamal Hossain and Moin Uddin Ahmed.

Besides, new four members of the panel are Managing Director of CTG Telecom of Chattogram Zahid Anwar, Head of KS Network, Dhaka Nazmul Haq Bhuiyan, CTO of BTS Communications M. Sarwar Alam Sikder and Managing Director of Next Online Limited Ahmed Zunaed.     

Aminul Hakim said, “The EC incumbent committee tried heart and soul for the betterment of the organization and our success rate is very high and we want to protect the interest of the ISPAB.”

He added: “The incumbent EC committee has taken different successful initiatives. We have ensured five percent VAT for all types of operators--BSCCL, ITC, IIG and NTTN--of Internet value chain in coordination with the VAT of ISP and applied for new NTTN license forming a consortium name Songjog Network Limited, which is now under consideration of the government.”

“The ISP has been given approval to provide IPTV service and we have brought approval for IPTSP to use Mobile Dialer,” he said.

Aminul Hakim said, “The number of license of ISP has increased. So, we are committed to protest interest of ISP operators from the monopoly business of NTTN operators.”

Regarding the panel, he said, “We have announced the panel with combination of the most experienced and new ones. I think that we will be able to protect the interest of the organization.”
