Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said charge sheet of BUET student Abrar Fahad murder case will be submitted soon.

Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal was chairing UCB Public Parliament Debate Competition entitled ‘Current government going ahead to establish good governance’ at Film Development Corporation (FDC) on Saturday.

In response to a question posed by reporters, he said our on-going raid does not focus on a specific issue. The campaign is against corruption. So as long as there is corruption, the campaign will be conducted. Prime Minister (Sheikh Hasina) has taken action wherever she saw corruption, injustice and wrongdoing. She is not sparing anyone in this anti-corruption campaign.

We launched raids against militancy in the last term. Militancy and terrorism have been eliminated. I have adopted a zero tolerance policy against drugs. At present, we are working towards establishing good governance, he also said.

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology won, as the government team, in the debate competition.

Abrar Fahad, aged 21, a student of electrical and electronic engineering department at BUET, was tortured to death reportedly by BCL leaders at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university on October 7.

He was found dead on the staircase of the dormitory early Monday.
