The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) at Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a two-day long workshop on Radio and TV News Presentation Techniques: Pronunciation, Voice Projection & Body Language on 28-29 September 2019.
The workshop covered topics on voice projection, gesture and posture, pronunciation, stress and intonation, TV news presentation and program anchoring, said a press release on Monday.
Broadcast practitioners Fahmida Sharmin Shampa, DBC News, Mohsena Shaon, News Presenter, NTV, Roksana Anzuman Nicole, Assignment Editor, Jamuna TV, Khairul Ahasun Shohag, Voice Artist, Channel i and media academics conducted hands-on sessions on the aforesaid topics.
The workshop facilitated a total of 60 students from various departments of DIU to learn the skills needed for broadcast news and program presentation under the supervision of Dr Towfique -E-Elahi, Assistant Professor of the department.
After the workshop, an awarding ceremony was held where the head of JMC Department Saleem Ahmed distributed certificates among the workshop participants.
Dr Sheikh Shafiul Islam, Associate Professor and other faculty members were present in the closing ceremony.
