4 farmers killed in Magura lightning - National

Dhaka: Four farmers killed a lightning truck them at Magura Sadar upazila on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Rahmat Molla, 45, Monnu Molla, 25, Samin Molla, 30, and Akram Hossain, 30.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abu Sufian confirmed the tragic incident.

He told that the farmers were killed by lightning strike while they were working in a jute field at Rupdaho beel in Atharokhoda village.

On information, police and fire service personnel took them to Magura Sadar Hospital where doctors declared them dead.

The farmers died before reaching the hospital, said Dr Amar Prasad of the hospital.
