BNP to hold human chain in city Monday - Politics

Dhaka: BNP will hold a human chain programme in Dhaka Monday demanding release of the party Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

“Our party will hold the programme in front of Jatiya Press Club for an hour from 11:00am Monday,” said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Sunday.

Rizvi said they have got verbal approval from Dhaka Metropolitan Police to hold the programme.

The party will hold the human chain as a part of its two-day programme demanding release of Khaleda, who has been staying the jail since February 8 after a special court sentenced her to five years' rigorous imprisonment in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
