'Infighting' kills 2 BCL men in Moulvibazar - Crime

Moulvibazar: Two activists of Bangladesh Chattra League, front organization of ruling Awami League, were killed in a clash between two groups in Moulvibazar town on Thursday evening.

The deceased were identified as Shahbab Rahman, 23, and Mahi Ahmed 18, activists of Bangladesh Chattra League, Mohammad Shahjalal, superintendent of police in Moulvibazar.

Sohel Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Moulvibazar Sadar Police Station, confirmed the incident.

The incident took place between two factions of the ruling party student front in front of Moulvibazar Government High School around 6:30pm, he added.

Additional police personnel were deployed in the area to avert further untoward situation, he said.
