Schoolgirl killed in city road crash - National

Dhaka: A schoolgirl was killed in a road accident in Shewrapara Bus Stand area of the capital on Tuesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Bisha, a class V student of Mirpur Ideal School.

Witnesses said the accident took place in the area around 12:45pm as an Agargaon-bound bus of Tetulia Paribahan from Mirpur Section-10 hit the schoolgirl while she was crossing the road, leaving her dead on the spot.

The agitated locals set fire to the bus, halting vehicular movement on the road till filling of this report at 2:45pm, he added.

Meanwhile, fire service men reached the spot and doused the fire of the bus.
