Dhaka: A man was killed near Banani-Kakoli bus-stop as he was ran over by a passengers’ bus on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Raich Uddin, 30, son of Danu Morol, lived in Bhatara, Notunbazar area hailed from Palashhati village under Kalmakanda upazila of Netrokona and used to work as day laborer.

According to his colleague Manik Mia, Raich was hit by a passengers’ bus while he was waiting for a bus to go to work leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to Kurmitola general hospital. As condition deteriorated he was transferred to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared him dead.

DMCH police camp in-charge Bachhu Mia confirmed the incident.
