RAB's Col Zia becomes NSI Director - National
Colonel Ziaul Ahsan of RAB has been appointed as the Director of National Security Intelligence (NSI).


Dhaka: Additional Director General (ADG) of Rapid Action Batallion (RAB) Colonel Ziaul Ahsan has been appointed as the Director of National Security Intelligence (NSI).

He was appointed as the NSI Director elevating from the post of Colonel to the post of Brigadier General.

Colonel Anwar Latif Khan has been appointed as new ADG of RAB. Earlier, he was RAB-11 commander in Sirajganj district.

Ziaul Ahsan took over the charge of NSI Director on Thursday morning.

It may be mentioned that Brigadier General Ziaul Ahsan is the only army official who has remained outside the Bangladesh Army for maximum period of time.

He joined RAB-2 as the deputy commander in 2009. He took over the charge of the Director of Intelligence Branch at the RAB headquarters after being promoted to the post of Lieutenant Colonel from the post of Major in 2010.

Ziaul Ahsan became the ADG of RAB after being promoted to the post of Colonel in 2013. He was promoted to the post of Brigadier from the post of Colonel in September last year.
