Dhaka: Former General Secretary of Bangladesh Cricket Board, former Vice President of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club and Director of Satellite TV Channel Bangla Vision Aminul Huq Moni died at the city’s United Hospital Sunday night.

Moni, a confirmed bachelor, took his last breath at 11pm suffering from various complications, including cancer for long.

His body was brought to his beloved Mohammedan SC premises in the morning and was buried at the Azimpur graveyard after namaz-e-janaza at the Tikatuli Jame Masjid after Zohr prayers.

His Qulkhani will be held on June 3 at Sadek Hossain Community Center in Gopibagh after Asr prayer.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expresses deepest condolences at the passing away of renowned sports organiser and former General Secretary of the Board Aminul Huq Moni.

The President and Directors of the BCB have extended most sincere sympathies and prayers to the family of Aminul Huq Moni who breathed his last in Dhaka on Sunday evening at the age of 66 after a prolonged illness.
